Announcing of JAMS 2025 Annual Meeting

   The 2025 Annual Meeting of the Japan Association of Mineralogical Sciences (JAMS) will be held at the Yoshida Campus of Yamaguchi University. As with last year's meeting at Nagoya University, we expect many members to attend the meeting and engage in lively discussions.
   The Annual Meeting is an important event for the Society. It is hoped that the many opinions that collide at these meetings will create chemical reactions that will lead to new developments in research, the establishment of profound discussions, and other positive developments. For young researchers in particular, discussions with researchers outside of their home universities can generate the seeds of new ideas. The exchange of information and the creation of novel ideas one after another is one of the most exciting aspects of science. We hope that young researchers who will support the future of mineral science will be awakened through the Annual Meeting, and will fly to the frontier of mineral science.

   To get Yoshida Campus, take the JR Yamaguchi Line from Shin-Yamaguchi Station on the Sanyo Shinkansen Line, and get off at Yudaonsen Station. It is about a 30-minute walk from Yuda Onsen, where many accommodations are located, to the university. It is a good idea to leave your lodgings a little early and take your time to gather your thoughts while walking in nature. The Common Education Building is located just inside the main gate of the university. The campus is surrounded by lush greenery, and the Triassic Suo metamorphic rocks and the Cretaceous granite that runs through them form a small hill at the back of the campus. In addition to historical sites related to the Meiji Restoration, there are many historical and cultural assets in Yamaguchi City, such as a family temple associated with the Ouchi clan, a feudal warlord. We hope that you will enjoy the culture and history of Yamaguchi when you attend the conference.

• Upon arrival, please first come to the registration desk (Main Building for General Education 1F Open Room). Registration will begin at 8:30 AM each day for all three days.

• For the 2025 annual meeting, we are planning eight regular sessions and three special sessions.
• The academic presentations (oral and poster) for this conference will be held on-site only. The general meeting and award commemorative lectures will be held in hybrid format.
• Authentication is required to view the abstracts and the site for participants. A password will be sent upon the completion of your registration and payment.  (After the conference, the authentication will be removed and anyone will be able to view the abstracts.   Authentication has been removed, and anyone can now view the presentation abstracts.
• This meeting is supported by Yamaguchi Tourism & Convention Association and Yamaguchi University Fund.
