The curriculum guidelines for 2018 have been revised for elementary schools. Therefore, the textbook has been updated since 2020. In the revision, "The whereabouts of rainwater and the state of the ground" was added to the 4th grade of elementary school. The textbook will be enriched with content related to natural disasters. How has the description of meteorological disasters, earthquake disasters, and volcanic disasters changed from the previous descriptions? In this presentation, we will compare the descriptions of the earth science fields, especially natural disasters, in elementary school science textbooks issued by each textbook company. Furthermore, the problem points are extracted.
