Photothermal reverse water gas shift (CO2 + H2 → CO + H2O) reaction at low temperatures has attracted much attention for utilizing solar energy and waste heat. We aim to enhance the activity of the Pt/MoO3 catalyst previously reported in our laboratory by loading on various metal oxides. As a result, ZrO2-supported catalysts showed higher surface temperature and activity under light irradiation. A low thermal conductivity of ZrO2 would enhance the photothermal conversion efficiency of the catalyst.
