High-oxidation-state organometallic complexes in early transition metals play an essential role in olefin oligomerization and polymerization. We herein wish to introduce our explored results in synthesis of new (imido)vanadium complexes containing chelalte 2-(anilidemethyl)pyridine ligands, V(NAd)X2[2-(ArNCR2)C5H4N] (Ad = 1-adamantyl; X = Cl, Me; Ar = 2,6-Me2C6H3; R = H, Me, Et), and their use as the ethylene dimerization catalysts. These complexes exhibit notable activity and remarkable selectivity in ethylene dimerization in the presence of MAO cocatalyst. Details including synthesis, identification and their catalyst performances in the ethylene oligomerization (dimerization) will be introduced in the presentation.
