Chemical recycling using solid acid catalysts has attracted considerable attention as a promising approach for achieving a circular economy for plastic waste. In such catalysts, pore structure, in addition to acidity, is an important factor governing catalytic performance. However, the role of pore size in polyolefin cracking has not yet been fully elucidated. In this study, nanoporous aluminosilicates with different pore sizes were synthesized and applied to the catalytic cracking of LDPE and HDPE. The influence of pore size on cracking activity was systematically evaluated.
