The bandgap energy of g-C3N4, which has been attracting attention in recent years, is 2.75 eV, and the photocatalytic reactions of g-C3N4 can be activated by visible light irradiation with wavelengths shorter than 450 nm. However, for the preparation of g-C3N4 nanosheets, In the present study, we have developed g-C3N4 nanosheets with high photocatalytic activity from urea in 1 hour by high-pressure annealing (HPA) method. We elucided the characteristics of g-C3N4 nanosheets prepared with HPA by comparing it with those prepared with a conventinal annealing method.
