The taste sensor is the result of more than 30 years of collaborative research with Distinguished Senior Professor Kiyoshi Toko of the Graduate School of Kyushu University. The progress of taste sensors has been made thanks to the valuable feedback from professionals and researchers in the food and pharmaceutical industries who use taste sensors, and the data from taste sensors is now being used to develop new taste information businesses. We introduce the technological development and business applications we have been working on with such taste sensor users in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the issues that are currently being addressed by taste sensors.
