To improve the performance of organic thin film solar cells, it is necessary to evaluate the VOC in the local area in correspondence with the blend film structure. Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) measures the contact potential difference (CPD) between the sample and the AFM tip at the nanoscale, and the relationship between the CPD obtained by KPFM measurements and VOC has not been fully discussed. In this study, we first fabricated a model device using a D/A multilayer with a well-defined structure as a power generating layer, and then performed KPFM measurements under light irradiation to discuss whether quantitative evaluation of VOC is possible.
