[20a-B204-4]Pulse laser generation with ozone-gas switching

Recently, we develop ozone gas grating. This device can be used for high power lasers with high diffraction efficiency by relatively low energy of controlling. Since this device is constructed with gas medium, the optical properties in the non-operating condition is almost equal to normal atmospheric conditions. Therefore, it is negligible small effect in cases of optical enhancement using a cavity. After storing laser power, a pulsed laser can be generated by using switching with this ozone gas grating. In this study, to demonstrate the principle of this new pulsed laser generation, we measured the Q value when filling ozone gas, developed the ultraviolet light source for the short pulse switch, and evaluated the dynamic characteristics of this total system.
