We have started research aimed at realizing next-generation low-nonlinear surafce acoustic wave (SAW) devices and have determined a full set of nonlinear constants for LiTaO3 single-crystals. In order to determine these nonlinear constants, it is necessary to measure the rate of change of sound velocity and dielectric constant under stress and electric field application for a large number of crystal orientations. In this presentation, we report the results of measurements of nonlinear 14 elastic, 13 piezoelectric, 8 electrostrictive, and 3 dielectric constants for a full set of crystals.
