To investigate the ion beam guiding effect of slow multiply charged ions traveling collision-free in an insulator capillary tilted from the injection beam axis, the time of flight and displacement of an Arq+ ion (q = 7,8) beam (energy 2.5 × q [keV]) injected through two types of cylindrical glass channels, concave-convex and convex-convex, were used to The valence and kinetic energy of the outgoing ions were identified. When Ar7+ ions (17.5 keV) were incident, a deflection of -0.17° was observed by tilting the cylindrical convex-convex glass channel of two glass convex lenses facing each other by +3°.
