Ag submicron spherical particles are useful as devices utilizing localized surface plasmon absorption. We have reported that pulsed laser ablation combined with inertial effects can produce size-controlled spherical nanoparticles. The size distribution of the deposited particles is lognormal, but small amounts of large particles that deviate from the distribution are deposited. In this study, we propose a fabrication method in which the collection position of nanoparticles is varied to prevent the deposition of such large particles.
