Photon-counting CT
Photon-counting CT (PC-CT), which has attracted much attention in recent years, can visualize the concentration distribution of contrast agents because it can obtain X-ray energy information. In this study, ex vivo imaging of a gadolinium contrast agent (Gadoxetate Sodium), which is mainly used in MRI, was performed with PC-CT. This contrast agent has the property of being taken up by normal liver cells and is used to evaluate liver function and detect liver lesions. This presentation will provide an overview of the experiments and the quantification of the estimated concentration of gadolinium accumulated in the liver.
