The voltage standard chip utilizes the Shapiro step generated by the microwave applied to the Josephson junction, and we report on the optimization of the microwave termination circuit with the goal of improving the operating margin. Specifically, a Pd thin film is used for the terminal resistor, and the differences in the temperature distribution of heat generated by the shape of the resistor pattern were compared through numerical simulations. Numerical simulations were performed using a constant circuit and compared with experimental results.
