Silver pastes are organic/inorganic hybrid compounds that exhibit excellent mechanical flexibility, electrical and mechanical connectivity, and handling properties after thermal curing. We are aiming to use superconducting materials instead of silver as metallic particles for superconducting connections in wires and thin films, and as an elemental technology for superconducting interconnects in multilayer devices. In this report, we describe a prototype paste fabrication using NbN superconducting powder, which is known as a chemically stable superconductor. In addition, to investigate its application to superconducting interconnects, we report on a prototype NbTi thin-film pad/NbN paste/NbTi thin-film pad connection and measured the connection resistance.
