We have developed a magneto-optical spatial light modulator driven by current induced domain wall motion with its pixel size of 1 μm × 4 μm and 10k × 5k pixel layout and demonstrated successful reconstruction of holographic images with large viewing angle. However, aperture ratio of the pixel was small due to relatively large initial domains at each end of a magnetic nanowire. In this paper, we clarified notch structure introduced at each end of the wire can trap the initial domain within the notch and increase the aperture ratio and found certain size of the notch width was very important for the realization of the small initial domain.
