Many organisms can locate the location by following the smell of their prey or mates. The realization of an engineering device that can detect the source of such smells or gases is expected to solve various social problems, such as the detection of land mines. We have so far realized a compact and inexpensive system capable of detecting gas flows in at least four directions using a CMOS smell sensor. In this study, in addition to the directions, we were able to detect differences in flow rates of 50 to 300 mL/min.
