CuI is a wide-bandgap semiconductor with excellent p-type conduction. We reported in the previous meeting that CuI thin films grown on CaF2 substrate, which has good thermal expansion matching with CuI, exhibit significantly improved transport properties. However, the large lattice mismatch between CuI and CaF2 limits the improvement of the crystallinity. In this study, we employed SrF2 and CaF2 as substrates, which have the same fluorite structure as CaF2 but smaller lattice mismatch, and investigated the impact of lattice matching on the crystallinity and transport properties of the thin films.
