We have previously reported that graphene Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) was a promising analytical technique, which detected bovine interleukin-6 (IL-6) using sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). In this study, we investigate the markers for Raman spectroscopy using HRP (horseradish peroxidase) and its chromogenic substrate TMB (tetramethylbenzidine). We find that the Raman from TMB is stronger than the HRP.
