Infrared quantum absorption spectroscopy (IRQAS), which uses quantum interference between spontaneous parametric down convertion processes, has attracted attention as a way to solve the technical limitations of the detection sensitivity limit in the infrared region. Periodically poled MgO-doped LiTaO3 (PPSLT) crystals are capable of simultaneously generating two pairs of visible-mid-IR quantum correlated photon pairs. In this study, two types of mid-IR spectra actually generated simultaneously from PPSLT were observed by IRQAS. The broadening of the mid-IR spectra will also be discussed in the presentation.
