We are currently developing a small space charge sensor using a silicon photonic crystal device. Last time, we reported the demonstration of space charge detection using a single small sensor. One SLD was used as the light source, and the light was split into four by a fiber splitter and entered into a small sensor. When a space charge enters the silicon element, the intensity of the transmitted light drops and the charge can be detected.
