Materials with high saturation magnetization are required as an electromagnetic wave absorber at high-frequency band required for post-5G. Although Mn2+, which has an electron configuration of (3d)5, is an ion that can be expected to have characteristics of high saturation magnetization, the magnetic moments of Mn tend to cancel each other out because of an antiferromagnetic element of Mn element. We have developed a method for synthesizing nitrides with arbitrary metal element compositions by nitriding porous coordination polymers. Here we report that when 10 to 30 at% of manganese is introduced, the saturation magnetization is higher than that of nitrides with other compositions.
