Edge modes at the interface of photonic topology have some interesting properties, such as immunity to bending and pseudospin-momentum locking. Most previous research has shown that photonic topology is generated by built-in spatial structures. In our previous publication, we proposed a reconfigurable photonic topological insulator based on Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST), a well-known phase-change material with a large refractive index contrast between the amorphous and crystalline phases. In this work, we report an experimental demonstration of the photonic topological phase transition by material phase transition.
