We have reported that well-organized ultra-thin films of lead halide-based 2D layered organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite (2D LHP) is formed by immersing the LB film of octadecyl amine in aqueous solutions containing lead halides. However, the structure of the 2D LHP films have not yet been fully elucidated except when the halogen element is iodine. Further, the intercalation mechanisms are still open questions for all of the 2D LHP films. Here we report the structures and possible intercalation mechanisms for all those 2D LHP thin films.
