Atmospheric pressure plasma has been shown to alter the dyeability of fibers, but the mechanism of action is unknown. In this study, we focused on acid dyes, which can easily dye wool and other fabrics whose fiber molecules are cations. Therefore, the research was conducted to clarify the effect of charged particles supplied from plasma irradiating the fiber on the fiber surface. In the experiment, cotton, which is inherently difficult to dye with acid dyes, was used to confirm the effects on dyeing with and without auxiliaries and plasma treatment.
