We have been developing a focal plane detector for a wide-field X-ray monitor onboard the HiZ-GUNDAM satellite. The mission requires a detection efficiency of more than 50% for X-rays in the 0.4-4.0 keV band, and a fully depleted, back-illuminated pnCCD device was selected as a candidate detector. In this study, we detected emission lines near the lower limit of the mission-required bandwidth using a smaller device than those used onboard satellites, and evaluated the energy dependence of the energy resolution and the the gain linearity.
