Dumbbell-shaped bulk specimens were prepared with epoxy adhesives to investigate the strain rate dependence of mechanical properties. Yield stress, Young's modulus, elongation, and tensile strength were measured by varying the tensile rate of the test machine from 5.2 x 10-5 to 1.2 x 10 6 mm/min. Yield stress and tensile strength showed a clear dependence on strain rate. As a result, a procedure for predicting creep strength and even impact strength from simple tensile test results was proposed.
