Path to achieving CO2 reduction targets for automobiles

The announcement of a major shift to EVs following the emissions fraud scandal "Dieselgate" by Volkswagen (VW) of Germany, and the strengthening of ZEV (zero-emissions vehicles) regulations in Europe and the US have led to calls in the automotive industry for an "EV shift" as a means of reducing carbon dioxide. However, "despite the many issues that remain, such as power supply capacity, emission coefficients, and the burden placed on customers (cost, driving range, etc.), it is foolish to simply promote EVs simply because they have zero emissions while driving, without conducting a detailed analysis of these issues." At this point, these claims are finally becoming more realistic.
In this presentation, I would like to examine the "dangers of the EV shift" based on facts, and present the challenges related to CO2 reduction, as well as the countermeasures and path to achieving the goals.
