Organic-inorganic perovskite compounds have a wide absorption and high carrier mobility, and are expected to be used as excellent photocatalysts for hydrogen generation. Using microcrystals of perovskite compounds as catalysts, we investigated the ability to generate hydrogen under light irradiation, and found that hydrogen trapping due to the deposition of perovskite microcrystals. In this research, we prepared perovskite thin films by depositing polymer layers by the layer-by-layer method, followed by the spin-coating diamine and intercalation of PbI2. The properties and hydrogen generation ammount of the perovskite films were investigated.
