我々はこれまでに、直線偏光したInGaN 発光ダイオード(LED)と、一次元周期構造からなるメタサーフェスを組み合わせた円偏光素子を提案し、数値計算により、上記デバイスが高効率動作可能であることを示してきた。本研究では強い直線偏光が得られる半極性InGaN 量子井戸とメタサーフェスを組み合わせたLED構造を実際に作製し、円偏光発光を確認したので報告する。
