The two-dimensional layered material SnS has an antiferroelectric α phase that is stable at room temperature, a ferroelectric β' phase that is metastable due to the introduction of strain during crystal growth, and a ferroelectric β' phase with increasing symmetry as a high temperature phase. Although temperature control of the ferroelectric domain is important, the phase transition of SnS is poorly understood. In this study, the SnS phase transition was observed using a polarized light microscope with a heating stage to understand the phase transition and the dynamic behavior of the domain walls.
