To generate a single attosecond pulse by high harmonics generation, it is necessary to use a continuous spectrum that appears near the cutoff frequency. It is known by calculations that this continuous region expands when the number of cycle of the fundamental laser is reduced. In this study, we demonstrate a supercontinuum soft X-ray generation with a single-cycle pulse as a fundamental laser.
