[22a-P02-15]Pattern Formation of 2x2 Self-propelled Ion Gel Rotational Bits

In this study, we report the analyses of the bit patterns that appear on four rotating bits in orthogonal 2x2 square grid. Rotating bits were classified into three states: clockwise rotation, counterclockwise rotation, and stationary (angular velocity of 300°s-1 or less). We found that the appearance pattern changes before (a) and after (b) a certain period of time. In (a), the state in which the adjacent rotating bits are inverted with respect to each other was dominant, and in (b), the state in which all four bits were stationary in the same direction was dominant.
