We previously estimated the gas temperature of DC glow discharge using Mach-Zehnder interferometry. However, since we could not be sure about the value, we attempted to improve the spatial resolution by increasing the density of the interference fringes. As a result, we found that the slope of the gas temperature near the cathode becomes steeper and the gas temperature is higher than before.
