It is becoming possible to detect highly pathogenic viruses and biological signals using the cutting edge nanotechnology.
A variety of medical applications are being developed, including gas components sensing in the blood, monitoring a person's physical condition by detecting glucose, and measuring brain waves by simple method. Furthermore, early detection of viruses that cause pandemics, such as influenza and the new coronavirus, is also an important issue.
We hope to hold a symposium that will provide a bird's-eye view of the various nanotechnology and biosensing technologies that make these possible, and contribute to the stability and safety of human society.
