In this study, we fabricated a two-dimensional triangular lattice of split-ring resonators (SRRs) and measured their electromagnetic wave reflection characteristics. It was observed that the resonator's resonance frequency split into two characteristic frequencies caused by the interaction between SRRs. A simple model calculation predicts that the resonance frequency splits into three for a triangular arrangement of SRRs. Still, we found that the splitting can vary depending on the lattice structure.
