In this study, we aimed to control graphene nuclei density by adding Ag to Cu substrate and investigated the effect of Ag addition on graphene CVD growth. The results show that Ag addition is effective in reducing graphene nuclei density and improving layer number uniformity. While small amounts of Ag did not alter the crystallinity of graphene, excessive amounts worsened it, indicating that there is an optimal concentration of Ag that is effective for monocrystallization of graphene.
