We have fabricated sheets of polymer nanofibers that contain ferromagnetic iron-filled carbon nanotubes (Fe@CNTs) by an electrospinning method. The polymer nanofibers containing Fe@CNTs shows ferromagnetic characteristics and are expected to be applied to various magnetic applications such as flexible magnets, magnetic shield, etc. Enhancement of the magnetic properties of the nanofiber sheets require the control of orientation of the polymer nanofibers in the sheets. In this study, an electrospinning that is carried out in a magnetic field was used to form sheets polymer nanofibers containing Fe@CNTs to enhance the magnetic properties. We successfully formed orientation-controlled polymer nanofibers containing Fe@CNTs by this method. The sheet showed magnetic anisotropies that originated in the alignment of the nanofibers.
