Registration method for acoustic impedance microscopic images and other optical microscopic images are desired to observe living cells and tissues in multi-modal approaches. We have investigated a mark-based registration method for acoustic impedance image and optical (phase contrast and fluorescence) images. We have achieved image alignment with an accuracy of 5um. We also have aligned the microscopic images of cultured cells, in which we can ovserve nuclei at the same position in each image.
