To develop high-performance p-type semiconducting polymers with a simpler molecular structure for organic photovoltaics, we synthesized two semiconducting polymers based on a vinylene-bridged bis(difluoroquinoxaline) (FQxE) as a new acceptor unit, combined with a terthiophene donor. Furthermore, we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of their physicochemical properties, thin-film structure, and the photovoltaic characteristics of organic solar cells, utilizing representative low-bandgap n-type semiconductors. The outcome of our study demonstrated a remarkable power conversion efficiency exceeding 13%.
