The interaction between electrons in a nanostructure uses the Coulomb potential in the random-phase approximation (RPA) where many body interactions between electrons are considered. We should consider, however, the retardation effect caused by the constant light velocity when the electromagnetic interactions between multiple nanostructures are considered.
In this presentation, we will report semi-classical electromagnetism derived by the retarded RPA where the retardation effect and quantum effect of electrons are considered.
