In the synthesis of Bi2223 via sintering, the composition of Ca and Cu was varied to investigate its effect on the CuO2 layer structure, which contributes to the improvement of superconducting properties. In addition, aerosol deposition (AD), which can produce films that maintain the crystalline structure of the raw material at around room temperature, was used to deposit films with a high density and Tc above 100 K, compared to other deposition methods such as sputtering, etc. This prompted an investigation on the potential application of the thin films in superconducting wires.
