Tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) sensor is a highly sensitive magnetic field sensor and is expected to be applied in bio-medical sensing. Although 1/f noise is a dominant noise in bio-medical sensing, theoretical understanding of the 1/f noise in the TMR sensor is not sufficient to improve the detection capability. Here, we propose a theoretical model of 1/f noise of TMR sensors and explain the recent experimental results. We also predict the bias magnetic fields at which the TMR sensor exhibits high detection capability. The results provide a new perspective on 1/f noise and will be useful for improvement of TMR sensors.
