The topological phase, which originated from the discovery of the quantum Hall effect, can also be realized in phonon systems and is expected to lead to more efficient waveguides. In a previous study, it was shown numerically that topological edge modes can be realized by generating Coriolis forces in a spring-mass system called mechanical graphene, but actual experiments had not been conducted. In this study, mechanical graphene is actually fabricated and used to realize topological edge modes.
