Terrestrial radiation may be a possible energy source to generate photovoltaic power in the nighttime. However, in the previous demonstrations using narrow-gap semiconductors of HgTe, small outputs have been obtained. Our purpose is to measure the photovoltaic power of a commercial InAsSb photovoltaic cell under the condition that the thermal radiation from the diode itself is larger than incident light from surroundings, and to clarify maximum performance of power generation.
