Metabolic polyamines, which are attracting attention due to their mechanisms such as cancer, inflammation, and aging. Their detection concentrations range wide depending on the biological mechanisms and the detection requires frozen-storage samples and analytical equipments such as HPLC and mass spectrometry, polyamine labeling, and washing processes. In this study, we aimed to construct optical or electrical on-sight inspection of polyamines and detected them in the 1 μM ~ 10 μM range by a polyamine-controlled G-quadruplex coloration aptasensors, and in the sub-μM range by a G-qualtet aptamer-modulated graphene-based FET sensors.
