[24a-22B-4]Crystal Structures of Organic Semiconductors with Alkyl Groups

Previously, we have investigated when herringbone structures of organic semiconductors change to a stacking structure. Here we examine herringbone structures containing alkyl groups and aromatic hydrocarbons containing five-membered rings. When molecules are stacked, electrostatic repulsion works, but when they form a T-shaped structure, electrostatic attraction works, resulting in a herringbone structure. Based on this, we attempt to predict the crystal structure from the magnitude of electrostatic force.
