Currently, the success rate of ultrafast laser microwelding between glasses substrates is low due to the unstable position of the laser-beam focus point and the pressure applied to the glass. In this study, we developed system that applies pressure evenly to the sample to be joined using a pneumatic cylinder, and constructed a system that determines the position of the focal point by machine learning using images of laser light emitted on the glass surface. The developed system has stabilized and improved the success rate of ultrafast laser microwelding.
