A method was investigated to achieve whitening while maintaining power generation efficiency in building-integrated photovoltaics by using cellulose-based materials. Solutions of these cellulose materials were dropped and dried on glass substrates to using as cover glass. The relationship between fiber diameter, power generation efficiency, and brightness was explored. Results indicated that samples with smaller fiber diameters showed no significant change in brightness. On the other hand, samples with larger fiber diameters improved brightness at the slightly reduced power generation efficiency.
