Silicon heterojunction (SHJ) solar cells, which have demonstrated high power generation efficiency, are expected to become more widespread in the future. However, they use indium-based materials as transparent conductive oxide (TCO), raising concerns about resource constraints. Recently, we discovered that amorphous SnO2 (a-SnO2) films formed at low temperatures function as excellent TCOs. In this work, we attempted to apply a-SnO2 films to SHJ solar cells aiming for In-free devices.
